How does Tony Robbins have so much energy and excitement?
Firstly, he sets aside 10 minutes for his morning routine. If you do not have time to get in a peak state, then you will have to make time later on working hard and being more stressed. Successful people do not have time to work on on unimportant tasks or to feel stressed.
As Tony Robbins puts it:
If you don’t have 10 minutes for your life, you don’t have a life
What Is A Morning Routine?
A set of practices and exercises to get in top shape for the day. This concept is also called priming. Successful priming uses your body, mind and soul helps you be in a peak state.
Morning Routine Habits List
1. Use a breathing exercise
Due to unaddressed stress, a lot of people only breathe 30% of their capacity, and always feel tired.
Feeling happy and full of life is only a few minutes away.
There are so many benefits of deep breathing. Proper breathing is one of the best things you can do for your health. Revitalizing all the cells in your body and releasing toxins keeps you healthy and happy. Deep breathing lowers the stress hormone cortisol, and may release the happy neurotransmitter dopamine.
Tony uses a variation of the yoga technique known as Kapalabhati Pranayama breathing.
Steps (Try It Now):
a) sit straight and comfortably
b) close your eyes
c) relax your whole body
d) put your hands palms closed in front of your shoulders palms facing up as if you are going to lift something
e) quickly move your hands up while opening them and breath in through your nose
f) quickly move your hands down while closing them and breath out through your nose
The timing is a bit faster than half a second up, half a second down. For beginners, you can do three sets of ten.
RESULT: Feel centered, alive and full of energy
2. Express Gratitude
Being happy for all the gifts you have is one of the fastest and best ways to feel strong and alive. Feeling abundant also helps you succeed in everything that you do. Feeling full and happy helps you be nicer and energetic around people, which in turn wins you more friends.
A lot of successful people practice gratitude regularly. For example, the best-selling author of The Paleo Thyroid Solution Elle Russ stays under the covers a few extra minutes in the morning to be grateful for her body and health.
Tony explains “When you’re grateful you can’t be angry. And when you’re grateful you can’t be fearful”.
Pick three things, moments, experiences or people to be grateful for.
a) pick something to be grateful for
b) relive the moment as if it was happening right there and then
c) feel the smile on your face and the happy and calm feeling in your whole body, mind and soul
3. Feel Real Connection
The next practice is from Buddhist meditation. You do not need to be religious to experience this great feeling.
a) imagine a calming light gently flowing from the top of your head through to every part of your body. This light heals, refreshes and energizes every cell in your body
b) as you become filled with the healing energy, imagine the energy coming from you and spreading out to the people around you. You can share the peaceful energy with friends, family, clients, and everybody in the whole world
4. Visualize Your Goals & Dreams Coming True
Visualization has shown time and time again to help people succeed in all areas of their lives. In fact, practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.
Failures visualize things screwing up, while winners sees success. Winners also see their goals and dreams as already happened.
Pick three goals and dreams.
a) choose your daily or monthly goal or dream
b) see it as already done right in front of your eyes
c) feel the joy and fulfillment of achieving your goal/dream
